Year 4 - The Jays
Welcome to Year 4
Welcome to Year 4! What a fantastic start to the school year we have had already. It was lovely to see all the children return from the summer holidays looking happy, smart and ready to learn. I am very much looking forward to working with your children on some exciting topics this year. All information will be displayed under the tabs to the left. However, if there is anything you need to discuss which is not on here, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am very much looking forward to working with you in supporting your child.

Reading even for five minutes a day helps across all subjects. Please encourage daily reading and log it in your child’s diary. Every recorded read earns a token. Books are changed every fortnight.
Homework
Homework is set every Friday and due the following Friday. It alternates between English and Maths. Paper copies available on request.
Homework details omitted for brevity; available on full term schedule.
P.E.
PE is on Thursday and Friday. Children need:
-
Shorts/joggers (weather depending)
-
T-shirt (long/short sleeved)
-
Spare socks and trainers
Hair must be tied back and earrings removed/covered (plasters provided by home). PE is a statutory requirement; non-participation requires a written note.
Snack
Our school promotes healthy eating. Please do not send sugary food or drinks for break or lunch.
