Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided to schools to support our most vulnerable pupils and help close the attainment gap between them and their peers. This funding is intended to address underlying inequalities by ensuring that extra support reaches those who need it most.
The Pupil Premium is allocated to schools for pupils who have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any time in the last six years (known as ‘Ever 6 FSM’).
Schools also receive Pupil Premium funding for children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months, and for children from service families (the Armed Forces).
