Year 3 - The Kingfishers
Important Dates This Term

P.E. days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure your child brings suitable clothing and footwear on these days. Earrings must be removed or covered with tape/plasters.

Homework is given out every Friday, alternating between literacy and numeracy. It should be returned by the following week.

Spellings are sent home fortnightly. We practise in school, but home support is appreciated.

Reading
Reading is essential in Year 3. We ask children to read at least four times a week.
Each child has:

A book at their reading level (used in Guided Reading)
-
A self-chosen book, which may be more challenging
Reading Raffle:

Raffle tickets awarded for consistent reading

Prizes: a book of their choice at the end of each term
Homework

P.E.
P.E. is every Tuesday and Wednesday.
Reminders:

Children must bring appropriate kit and outdoor footwear.

Long hair must be tied up.

Earrings must be removed or covered (staff cannot remove them).
Snacks

In Year 3, snacks are brought from home and eaten outside at break.
-
Please send healthy options (fruit, veg, or low-sugar cereal bars).
