What is Diwali?

This week we learned about how Diwali is celebrated. Mrs Boston celebrates Diwali at her house, and she brought in special Diwali clothes, jewellery and her rangoli patterns for us to look at. She put Mendi patterns on Miss Albon's hands. We also tried Indian foods.

We have also been learning about Autumn this week. We went on an Autumn hunt looking for signs of Autumn and enjoyed reading the story Pumpkin soup. None of us had ever tried pumpkin soup before so we decided to make some in class so we could give it a try. It was delicious!
