Week 4
This week we read the book Rumble in the Jungle and learnt about the rainforest. We now know that the rainforest is hot and rainy and it is very different to the Arctic. Mrs Gibson showed us her pet snake Cornflake. We have enjoyed playing in our jungle role play area and dressing up as different jungle animals.
We wrote sentences about jungle animals in literacy and in maths we used scales and learned about weighing and about things that are heavy and light.
In phonics we did the sound qu and tricky words all and are.
In P.E. we did a rainforest workout in the hall and we crept like a tiger, jumped like a tree frog and grew like a tall tree.
