Week 3
This week we have been very busy! We have learnt all about animals that live in the Arctic and all about the celebration Chinese New Year.
We wrote descriptions of Arctic animals and had a go at painting pictures of them. Our work is on display in the classroom.
In maths we learned all about zero and had another look at ways of making 5. We are getting very good at this now.
In phonics we did the new sounds y, z and zz.
To learn about Chinese New Year we did dragon dances to Chinese music and ran animal races from the story of the Jade Emperor. We even tried Chinese food! We played a reading game called Cleversticks where we read a sentence and tried to pick up that object using chopsticks. This was lots of fun but we decided that chopsticks were tricky to use!
