We will be doing P.E Monday and Friday. On Monday's we will be taught by a bought in sports coach -During Autumn term we will be receiving coaching from Bill Selby, a Second Dan kick boxer . Bill is a member of Warriors Kickboxing Club and holds a number of coaching certificates , he will be teaching us self defence , resilience and self control techniques .
For our Spring term we have Caroline Lane, from Christine March School of Dance, who will be helping us to get our groove on , teaching us some Latin based dances to fit in with our topic of Chocolate. Caroline is a certified dance instructor with a wealth of experience .
Summer term has yet to be confirmed.
On Friday , Mr.Brown will lead our sessions . We will learn basic skills around team sports and becoming good team players.
Mr.Henshaw will be running lunchtime and after school sport clubs , specifically aimed at year 6. If you choose to join any of these , you will need your p.e kit to participate.
P.E kit should consist of : shorts/joggers(weather depending) , a t.shirt (long/short sleeved again depending on the weather), spare socks and training shoes/plimsolls . We introduced a p.e uniform in September 2018.
Long hair must be tied up . Earrings must be removed (staff are not permitted to assist with this) or covered by plasters provided from home .
We will try to get outside as much as possible for P.E but for those occasions when the weather defeats us , P.E will take place in the year 6 classroom .
As P.E is an educational statutory requirement , a note from home will be required if it is necessary for a child to miss P.E .
