Computing
It is our intention enable pupils to develop the skills needed to utilise technology effectively. We intend to build a computing curriculum that prepares pupils to live safely in an increasingly digital British society where pupils can evaluate and apply information technology, including new or unfamiliar technologies, analytically to solve problems. Computing is an integral part to a child’s education and everyday life. Therefore, we intend to support our pupils to access and understand the core principles of this subject through engaging and cross-curricular opportunities. Our computing curriculum is built around the four core pillars of: basic computer skills, word processing and presentation skills, programming and e-safety.
