Learning about measuring
I would like you to gather items from around your house and compare their weights - remember we measure weight using grams (g) and kilograms (kg). Remember to estimate (what do you think) the measurements will be first. As you do this, log your results in a table
|ITEM 1||WEIGHT||ITEM 2||WEIGHT||WHICH IS HEAVIER?||WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE ?|
|Apple||100g||My trainer||400g||My trainer||300g|
You can compare as many items as you like. Let me know what you find out. Were things as heavy as you thought they would be? How close was your estimate?
If you want more math don't forget we have the White Rose activities and SUMDOG on our useful math resources sub-page.
