Hello Jays, this week we are going to look at units of time. we will start with seconds, then minutes then hours before moving on to 24hr clock and analogue and digital. 

Have a go at the activities and please take your time!

Converting seconds to minutes

Try to convert these problems from seconds into minutes. Remember there are 60 seconds in a minute.

 

To convert remember divide the seconds by 60 to give you minutes. If there are any remainders these are always seconds. 

 

360 seconds = 360 divided by 60 = 6 = 6 minutes

400 seconds = 400 divided by 60 = 6 remainder 40 = 6 minutes 40 seconds
