Year 4 Gallery 2024-25

History - What we want to find out about the Romans

Science - practical- investigating how sounds are made!

Fronted adverbials activity.

25.9.24 Art

Lovely to see our wonderful artwork displayed at the local church. Well done Year 4!

We loved learning about and celebrating Black pioneers. Oct 25

11/11/24 This week in DT we investigated linkages and levers, creating our own 'snappy' crocodile in the process. We loved learning from being hands-on with this activity.

28.11.24

Geography - This week we had a debate over the best place to live - a city or village. Each group drew and wrote their reasons and presented their argument to the class. The children were confident and could give valid, educated reasons as to why people should live in their chosen location - watch out Prime Minister!

12.12.24

We wrote information leaflets using persuasive language to encourage people to visit Annesley. I had never heard of Ian Whites but I definitely need to pop in now for 'the best sweets in Nottingham' :)

This is only our very own Onyx with his writing published...so very proud of you!!

19.12.24 - DT - design and create a moving Christmas card using linkages and levers.

10.1.25

PE - Tennis - skill - backhand

17.01.24

Science - States of matter - Investigate the 'runniness' of liquids.

We tested the 'runniness' of the liquids from Miss Robinson's kitchen cupboards. The engagement was huge as children watched and timed how long it would take the liquid to run down a ramp applying all our knowledge of making it a fair test each time. We LOVED this investigation.

Celebrating three more published writers in Year 4. You are an inspiration!

24.01.25

What a wonderful visit we had to All Saints Church. We explored all the features of the church and were able to ask lots of valuable questions regarding worship music which consolidated the work we have been doing in class. Thank you to all the staff involved, both at school and church.

13.2.25 - Internet safety day

Playing pentatonic melodies in music - 14/3/25

March 2025 - Our Year 4 class have been diving into our rainforest topic with so much enthusiasm! 🌿🌎 We explored the recent news about the four-lane highway being built for the COP climate summit, sparking lots of discussion and strong opinions. I love how passionate and engaged our class is—such amazing spirit and critical thinking! πŸ‘βœ¨
