- *Golden Book Winners* Ellie - For showing incredible strength and kindness, even when faced with some challenges. Ellie’s handled everything with such maturity, never letting it affect her work or the way she treats others. She’s always been quietly dedicated, listening carefully, and giving her best in everything she does. She may be quiet, but she’s got a strength that shines through in everything she does. - Tyler: We’ve built such a good relationship, and I couldn’t be prouder of you. In class, you’re a model student—you sit quietly, listen attentively, and dive into your work right away. I’ve seen many children slip back into old habits, but your conscientious attitude has shone through all half-term. What I love most is how much happier you seem; it’s clear you’re enjoying this new version of yourself and soaking up all the praise you’re receiving. Your pride in your work is evident, and everything you create is presented beautifully. Keep being you; it’s truly a joy to watch you shine.

- 21.12.24*Golden book winners* Sophia Y - She works incredibly hard and never gives up, always listening to advice and using it to improve. Her kindness and consideration for others, always putting their feelings first, is admirable. Recently, she’s shown great courage in joining in more and building her confidence. I’m also so proud of her progress in swimming, with Mrs. Haywood noticing her steady improvement each week. Arlo - Arlo is a thoughtful ,hardworking and always listens carefully and sets a great example with his polite and considerate behaviour. Though he may not always speak up in class, his writing truly stands out with its creativity and vivid descriptions. He’s a kind and popular friend. Arlo, I am so proud of you and hope your confidence continues to grow—you are brilliant!

- Ellie - 7.2.25 - For listening carefully during art and creating a beautifully detailed Greek vase. Great skills Ellie.
- *Golden Book Winners* - 13.2.25 Dawson - Dawson is a people pleaser at school, therefore his behaviour in class is always excellent. He is extremely polite, however, you do need to stop apologising over everything :) . Dawson is really impressing me with his maths, once shy and never wanting to put his hand up, he has become much more self assured and his hand is very often the first up, showing he is fully engaged. Keep up the good work and let your confidence soar. Evie - Started the year doubting her ability especially with times tables and being very quietly spoken, to now smashing multiplications which has helped in all areas of maths and it is lovely to see her confidence coming back. Evie is a very popular child and even though there are sometimes some dramas particularly in the girls friend groups, Evie not only keeps out of it but doesn’t let herself feel pressured by others and is her own person, which can be hard sometimes. After a conversation at parents evening, all Evie’s targets are being met due to the hard work at home as well as school.
- Luna 28.2.25 - For showing off her wonderful animation skills in ICT. You have a real flair for this, I was blown away by your animation strips. Well done.
- Finley 7.3.25 - For acting swiftly upon his personal target of giving his full potential to his written work. Keep going Finley!
- Hunter - 14/3/25 - For working independently a lot this week but not letting his standards slip. He has also been very interested in our science topic and knows all about vertebrates and invertebrates.
- William Ta 21/3/25 - For his exceptional narrative based on the Kaypok Tree. Absolutely wonderful!!
- Maya 28/3/25 - You’ve worked incredibly hard on your designs in DT, really thinking through your ideas. You’ve also shown great thoughtfulness in Jigsaw, discussing what makes a good friend. Keep up the fantastic work!
- Golden Book 4/4/25 - Taya. Every morning, Taya comes into school with such bravery, even when she feels a little unsure. She never gives up, and the other day, she set herself a goal: ‘I’m going to try and ask people to play today.’ That takes real courage, and I was so proud of her. Taya is always thoughtful, always listening, and always doing the right thing. She works hard in everything she does. Ray - Ray is someone who has truly shone this term. At the start of the year, he was doing well, but lately, something has changed – he has found another level! He has pushed himself, and the results speak for themselves. His hard work is paying off in every subject. What makes Ray really special isn’t just his achievements; it’s his attitude. He has a spark – a passion for learning, for sport, for helping others – and that’s something that should never be dulled. He is a friend to everyone, always happy to join in, always there to lend a hand. He is well known and well liked by staff and pupils alike because he makes a difference wherever he goes. Ray, never lose that spark – because it makes you who you are!
- Oliver 25/4/25 - You’ve grown so much in how you approach your learning—getting stuck in, staying focused, and showing real pride in your work. Keep it up!
- Hunter 2/5/25 - Hunter has shown fantastic independence this week and he is really owning his learning. He gets straight on with his work, stays focused, and shows a real eagerness to learn. He listens, applies everything straight away, and is proving how capable he really is—well done, Hunter!
- Harper 9/5/25 - for showing fantastic enthusiasm in PE, especially during football. She’s really stepped out of her comfort zone. She has been volunteering to referee games and becoming a lot more confident, getting really involved with the team spirit. Well done, Harper!
- Golden Book winners *Liev is, without doubt, one of the most polite children I have ever met. He always says thank you, even for the smallest things, and his beautiful manners don’t go unnoticed. In fact, his kindness and calm way of speaking remind others around him how important it is to be respectful. Liev isn’t just kind and polite — he’s also an incredible team player. On the football pitch, both in and out of school, he gives his best and works with others, and this teamwork shows in the classroom too. He recently told me he does litter picking with his mum outside of school — and honestly, that didn’t surprise me one bit. That’s just who Liev is: someone who cares, who gives back, and who always does the right thing. He puts effort into all his learning, listens brilliantly, and is making great progress with his spellings. He’s curious about the world and shows real interest in our foundation subjects, from history to geography and beyond. * Georgia. At the start of the year, Georgia was a little shy and wasn’t always sure about school. But now, what a change we’ve seen! She walks into school with a big smile, full of confidence, and ready for the day. She’s even considering going on the residential — and that says everything about how far she’s come. Georgia is making great progress in her spellings, she’s super speedy with her times tables, and she’s always listening so carefully. In fact, her hand is up for every question — she wants to take part in absolutely everything! She’s also an amazing reader — fluent, expressive, and always up for a challenge. She pushes herself with longer books and reads every single night. Georgia is a fantastic friend to everyone. She’s kind, thoughtful, and also a bit of a secret comedian — she gets my sense of humour, and I always know she’s quietly laughing along with me!*
- 13.6.25 - Onyx -Since moving closer to the front, Onyx has shown a fantastic improvement in focus and effort. He’s really getting stuck into his non-chronological report on the Mayans and producing more work than ever. It’s great to see him so engaged and working hard—keep it up!
