MEET THE NEW MEMBERS OF EAGLE CLASS

RUBY -  white, red eyes and sandy strip - named by Mrs Wraith,

BETTY - grey, black eyes, dumbo ears - named by Austen,

BLITZ - sandy, brown eyes, dumbo ears - named by The Eagles.

Ruby is very calm and will sit on my shoulder but the two other girls are very active and so it was very difficult to photograph them.  They are going to need lots of training but they are very pretty.

Homework:

Dear Year Six,

You obviously know what is happening next week, as we have talked about it enough!!!! But, it’s sometimes worth remembering where you started the year and take a step back from it all. You’re worth so much more than a test score and DON’T ever forget that. Perhaps it’s hard to remember that or believe that when we’ve spent so much time thinking about next week.

So with that in mind, here is your homework for the coming weekend!

Choose to do: one, two, all of them or absolutely none, if you like.

  • Bury a time capsule – then one day you can dig it up and worry what all the fuss was about,
  • Go through a tunnel – in the car, on a bike, in the back garden, through the trees (be imaginative),
  • Walk a dog – obviously this may be a problem if you don’t have but take yourself for a nice walk,
  • Create a piece of natural artwork – just use the things you found on your work (this could be anything you like – again use your imagination),
  • Go star-gazing – you never know you might spot a shooting star,
  • Read only the favourite bits out of your favourite book,
  • Get muddy,
  • Invent the best sandwich ever – then give it a fantastic name,
  • Play a board game,
  • Make dinner for your family,
  • Have a water fight – OUTSIDE,
  • Tell jokes – save one to share with me on Monday,
  • Learn to juggle

But, whatever you decide to do – have a relaxing, fun-filled couple of days with your family and friends.  And remember, the big things in life are often the little things and SATs are NOT everything!

There is one thing you must NOT do, worry – that’s my job.  You’ve do all the hard work now – just have a fabulous weekend!

You’ve worked hard and now it’s your ‘Time to Shine.’
