We are so excited about starting school in year 1 this year with Miss Simmons!

We have got lots of exciting activities planned for this half term and can't wait to get stuck in!

Remember the  classroom door is always open so if you have any questions or  worries about your child, please do not hesitate to come and tell us all about it. :)

Class information

  • Our PE days are on Mondays and Thursdays. Please make sure your child has their PE kit for these days. It is quickly getting colder and rainier as Autumn draws in, so please make  sure your child has trainers, and warmer PE kit as we will still be going outside.
  • Your child will be swimming every other Friday so please ensure that they have their swimming kit on the correct day. We will ensure that a rota is sent out.
  • Your child needs to be reading at home with an adult 4 times a week. Please fill in your child's reading diary every time you read with them over the week. The children love to celebrate their reading successes in assembly every Friday. We love to hear how you're getting on and any words or sounds that are particularly tricky for your child.
  • Please ensure that your child has a book bag with them everyday, we will keep them in the classroom, and put any letters into their book bags to bring home. You can buy them at the school office.

Our Class Pets

Say hello to Fluffy and Fudge, our new class pets!

They live in the classroom and outside (on sunny days) at school.

Their favourite food is celery, but they eat almost anything. Miss Simmons feeds them too much so they are getting little fat tummies, but they still get very excited about snack time at school, as they always get a piece of fruit too. They are quite shy, but they are very cuddly and they like to nuzzle in warm places.

Come and visit them when you get a chance!

Spotted in the Robins!

Check out this part of  our page to see if your child has been spotted with wonderful behaviour.

Super Sitters

Our  super sitters this week (so far) are Charlie and  Veer. Wow you two have had an awesome day, and have set a wonderful example for  the rest of your class. Well done! :)

Terrific Tidiers

Our  terrific tidiers this week (so far) are Summer and  Calum. You have made sure all the areas in the classroom are tidy, even putting away toys you didn't use. Well done! :)
