This was our first week doing Forest Schools! We played a few different games, including 'Hide and Seek', 'One, Two, Three Where are you?!' and 'I See You!'. We then spent some time exploring the Forest School area to get used to it, we had lots of fun finding sticks and feathers and pretending to be in the forest!
This week in Forest Schools we went on a bear hunt! We read the story 'We're going on a bear hunt' and talked about the different things the characters had to go through. We then had a go at walking through them ourselves; Barefoot! We were a bit unsure at first but once we had a go we really enjoyed it! Especially the squelchy mud and cold ice!
This week it was very wet and rainy when we did Forest Schools this week! So we decided to go on a muddy puddle hunt! We went around school looking for the biggest, muddiest puddle! We all had lots of fun jumping in the muddy puddles. We had hot chocolate and marshmallows to warm us up after!
This week in Forest Schools we went on a nature hunt! We had to find objects which were green, yellow, big, small, pointy and smooth! We used our objects to make a nature crown! We then decided we wanted a go at climbing a tree! We were all a bit scared to start with, we needed a little bit of help. But towards the end we were doing it all on our own! Miss Housley was very proud!
This was our final week doing Forest Schools! We had to work together to make a den because it was raining, this would help us to keep dry! We used sticks to secure our sheets as we ran out of tent pegs! Once we had made our den we collected some sticks and made photo frames to take home! We have had lots of fun doing Forest Schools!
